The Beltrami County Sheriff’s Office is seeking help from the public to locate Russell Anthony Coyle, a 68-year-old man who has been missing since April 24, 2025. Coyle was last seen at his home north of Kelliher, Minnesota. According to authorities, he had arranged for a friend to watch his dog on the day he disappeared, but has not been seen or heard from since.

Coyle is described as a Caucasian male, about 5 feet 7 inches tall and weighing approximately 200 pounds. He has blue eyes and often wears glasses and a beard. He typically carries a plier’s holder on his belt and relies on family and friends for transportation rather than driving himself. While it is unclear what clothing he was wearing when he went missing, Coyle commonly wore checkered or flannel shirts with blue jeans.

Efforts by the Beltrami County Sheriff’s Office along with family and friends have included extensive searches of the area using drones and K-9 units. The search remains ongoing.

In a statement, Sheriff Jason Riggs said: "The Beltrami County Sheriff’s Office continues the investigation and search for Russell and are requesting the public check your land, outbuildings, and abandoned vehicles in the area. As hunters head back to hunting cabins, land and deer stands, please keep an eye out for any signs of Russell or any of the clothing he may have been wearing at the time of his disappearance."

Anyone with information about Coyle's whereabouts is asked to contact the Beltrami County Sheriff’s Office at 218-333-9111.
