The Bemidji Public Library Presents the Justice Bus!
The Bemidji Public Library is proud to partner with Legal Services of Northwest Minnesota to bring the Justice Bus to the Bemidji Public Library (located at 509 America Ave. NW, Bemidji) every 4th Thursday of the month from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. This months event will be Thursday, August 25.
The Justice Bus is part of Reach Justice Minnesota, a series of initiatives that leverage technology to provide free, non-criminal legal services to Minnesotans. The bus, staffed by Legal Services of Northwest Minnesota, provides community members with legal advice on housing, family, elder and disability law, work and unemployment, money and debt, taxes, and can assist abuse victims. There is no appointment needed and no cost to use the services at the Justice Bus.
The Bemidji Public Library is committed to providing the community with informational resources to enrich their lives. The library is open from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and Saturday and provides a wide range of services to its patrons including WIFI, fax, printing, copying and our legal kiosk. This program, and many others, is made possible through the Minnesota Legacy Amendment that supports the arts, culture, and heritage of Minnesota.
*Legal aid cannot advise on criminal, traffic, or malpractice cases.
