Q2: Three registered sex offenders living in Wadena County

There was one more registered sex offender living in Wadena County in the second quarter of 2022 compared to the previous quarter, according to the Minnesota Public Registrant Search.

There are three sex offenders registered in Wadena County in the second quarter of 2022, compared to two the quarter before.

The Registry shows none of these sex offenders are sexual predators. In Minnesota, convicted predatory offenders also are subject to certain mandatory sentencing laws that are designed to minimize their chances to re-offend.

Minnesota legislation about sex offenders and predators is currently being evaluated and revised, such as if offenders with good behavior can be removed from the Registry.

Christopher Austin SharpCriminal sexual conduct in the third degreeChristopher Sharp, at the age of 18, engaged in sexual contact with a known female teenager. Contact included penetration. Sharp used force to gain compliance. Sharp also engaged in sexual contact with an adult female. Contact included sexual touching.
