City Of Blackduck issued the following announcement on Dec. 31.

Notice of Filing - Notice is hereby given, that filings for the office of one Council for a (4) year term for the City of Blackduck; will be open Tuesday, January 5th, 2021, through Tuesday, January 19th, 2021 @ 5pm.

The Councilor seat vacancy was certified after the 2020 General Election during the canvassing board meeting on November 13, 2020.

Any person desiring to file as a candidate for these offices, who is eligible to vote in the City of Blackduck; who will be 21 years old on assuming office; is a citizen and has been a resident of the city for at least 30 days and has not been convicted of a felony under State or Federal law unless his or her Civil Rights have been restored; may do so by filing an affidavit of candidacy at the office of the City Clerk at Blackduck City Hall.  A filing fee of $2.00 is required.  The election for these City Offices will be held on Tuesday, April 13th, 2021 in the City of Blackduck, County of Beltrami, and State of Minnesota between 7:00am and 8:00am.
