CITY OF BLACKDUCK: City Had 74% Voter Turn-Out and Is The Highest It Has Been In A Decade

Voters

City of Blackduck issued the following announcement on Nov. 5.

I would like to take a moment and thank all the voters that came out to the polls on November 3 to exercise their right to vote. The City of Blackduck had a 74% voter turn-out and that is the highest it has been in a decade.  As most of you are waiting patiently for final results on our Presidential race so goes our local race for our write-in candidates.  If you cast a write-in vote for a local City Councilor candidate I ask for that same patience as we allow the Beltrami County Auditor to finalize all the absentee ballots.  Those results will be canvassed by the City Council on November 13, 2020 @ 6pm at City Hall.  All other local, county, school district, and state results can be viewed at the Secretary of State's website:  https://electionresults.sos.state.mn.us/20201103

A BIG congratulations goes out to our current Mayor, Maxwell Gullette for stepping up to serve our City for the next 2 years, and Councilor Sheldon Ostlund for serving the City as City Councilor!

A final thank you goes out to our election judges in the Blackduck and surrounding precincts that volunteered their day to ensure our voting rights could be exercised.
