CITY OF WADENA: Message from Mayor George Deiss

Speaker

City Of Wadena issued the following announcement on Sept. 01.

Message from Mayor George Deiss

Good Morning Wadena,

Hope this Monday morning finds you well.

Wow the last day of August. Another month in the books.

Many are thinking,

WHAT is the plague for September going to be?

The year is flying by.

Some would say, GOOD.

I say as I have always said,

Head up, Eyes forward, we will Persevere.

Highway 10 and 71 crossing is ¾ open,

after a couple hiccups, traffic is moving.

A little tip, if you are traveling east out of the south side of Wadena, 1st Street SE is a good route.

West Highway 10 businesses can be accessed a few different ways, look for the signs.

Remember to support them as well as all of our Wadena businesses, #wadenastrong

School starts soon, so eyes open for the kids and buses.

The three B’s Be Safe, Be Smart and Be kind.

In regards to the Be Kind, there is still a lot of angry posts out there.

If you feel the need to single out someone on Facebook for their views, posts things without “fact checking” or feel your opinion is more intelligent, more important than any others…….

KNOCK IT OFF you brave keyboard warriors, because your not.

ENOUGH, exiting with

These are scary times. And not just because of Covid19, natural calamities, and civil unrest. It’s frightening to live in a world where, more and more, people are circling their tribal wagons and fighting fiercely for their tribe’s views, and treating anybody with other values and views as the enemy.

Well guess what, this crap needs to stop or the evil around and within will win and the world will lose.
