City of Blackduck issued the following announcement on March 17
Due to the growing concerns around the CORONAVIRUS (Covid-19), there have been and may continue to be shortages of toilet paper on store shelves. This shortage may cause users to look for alternative products. I would like to remind the citizens of Blackduck that PAPER TOWELS, FACIAL TISSUE, BABY WIPES and similar products DO NOT breakdown in the same fashion as toilet paper does.
The use of paper products other than toilet paper has the potential to clog YOUR sewer line. These products can also clog vital pumps and piping within the SANITARY SEWER SYSTEM, which can lead to SEWER BACKUPS and OVERFLOWS, CREATING ADDITIONAL HAZARDS and RISK TO PUBLIC HEALTH!
We are asking again, that you DO NOT flush anything other than TOILET PAPER down your toilets.
