CITY OF CALEDONIA: Election Judges Needed in Caledonia

City of Caledonia issued the following announcement on Nov. 26.

The City of Caledonia is seeking residents to serve as election judges in 2020. There are three elections scheduled for 2020: the Presidential Primary, March 3, the Primary, August 11, and Election Day, November 3.

Election Judge Duties and Eligibility

Judge receives training in a range of duties, including: greeting and registering voters, providing ballots, assisting voters as needed, overseeing ballot-counting machines, and compiling precinct voter statistics at the end of Election Day. In Caledonia, election judges are paid $11.50 an hour.

Potential judges must be eligible to vote in Minnesota; be able to read, write and speak English; and attend a training session provided by local election officials. Most training is approximately two hours in length.
