The Bemidji Public Library is proud to partner with the Headwaters Science Center to bring StarLab, a portable planetarium, to the Bemidji Public Library, Saturday, July 30th at 11 a.m. Come and explore the night skies of Northern Minnesota and view the wonders of our solar system during the final event of our summer reading program at the library, 509 America Avenue, Bemidji.
Did you know that some of the stars you see in the sky at night are planets in our solar system? Would you like to see how our solar system fits in our galaxy? Have you ever been curious about the constellations that spin above us every night, while changing positions with the seasons? This portable planetarium allows people to observe the night sky at any time of the day! Come and learn about stars, constellations, and planets, and how they appear in the night sky on any day and hour of the year at the Bemidji Public Library, Saturday, July 30th at 11:00 a.m.
The Bemidji Public Library is committed to providing the community with informational resources to enrich their lives. The library is open from 9/7 Monday through Thursday and 9/5 Friday and Saturday and offers a wide range of services to its patrons including WIFI, fax, printing, copying, and our legal kiosk. This program, and many others, is made possible through the generosity of the Friends of the Bemidji Public Library, who work to support the mission and purpose of the Bemidji Public Library.
