In a recent report published by 24/7 Wall St, analysis shows that the number of adults in Minnesota with outstanding medical bills is now 17.3% as of April 9.
The Center Square points out that Minnesota the eighth lowest when compared to the 49 other states.
According to the report, the Median Minnesota medical debt said it had $360 in unpaid bills, the analysis read. Median has since assigned the debt to collections agencies. The report reveals that out of all the people in the state, Minnesota has a 4.4% rate of uninsured people.
The report also reveals that 22.7% of adults across the nation have medical debts that have not been paid. The study is based on a 2018 investigation that was released by the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA).
The study shows that Americans are concerned about the high cost of health care. According to the study, 66% of the debts are due to the cost of medical care.
