The Bemidji Public Library is proud to present Minnesota native Nathan Jorgenson, author of Waiting For White Horses, The Mulligan, Crooked Number, and his new book, Contrapasso.  Come meet Nathan and hear him read from his new book Contrapasso, Tuesday, May 3, @ 6 p.m. at the Bemidji Public Library, 509 America Avenue. Winner of the 2004 Benjamin Franklin Award for Best New Voice in Fiction for his first novel Waiting for White Horses, Jorgenson’s other novels The Mulligan and A Crooked Number have also garnered widespread acclaim. His new book Contrapasso explores the lives of two friends as they reconcile the deeds of their youth with the loss of innocence. Join us at the library, Tuesday, May 3 @ 6 p.m for this exciting presentation.  

Born and raised in Jackson, MN, Jorgenson now lives in northern Minnesota. An accomplished dentist who has practiced in rural Minnesota for many years, he is better known for his novels dealing with love, loss, redemption, and the human condition. With his poignant style and unique sense of humor, he weaves tender stories that connect with readers of all ages.

The Bemidji Public Library is committed to providing the community with informational resources to enrich their lives. The library is open from 9/7 Monday through Thursday and 9/5 Friday and Saturday and provides a wide range of services to its patrons including WIFI, fax, printing, copying and our legal kiosk. This program, and many others, is made possible through the Minnesota Legacy Amendment that supports the arts, culture, and heritage of Minnesota.
