Rep. Krista Knudsen, a member of the Minnesota House of Representatives, posted a series of tweets in early October 2025 criticizing the Democratic-Farmer-Labor (DFL) Party and Governor Tim Walz.
On October 9, 2025, Knudsen alleged misuse of taxpayer funds by the DFL in a tweet: "Funneling your tax dollars into pet projects, kickback schemes & personal legal fees. Just another day for @mnhouseDFL."
Later that evening, on October 10, she posted a brief response: "Yes!!"
Shortly after, she referenced Minnesota Governor Tim Walz in another tweet: "Brought to you by the “Teacher”, @GovTimWalz!"
The tweets reflect ongoing partisan tensions in Minnesota politics. The Democratic-Farmer-Labor Party (DFL) has held a majority in the Minnesota House of Representatives since the 2018 elections. Governor Tim Walz, a former teacher and member of the DFL, has served as Minnesota's governor since January 2019. Rep. Krista Knudsen has been a vocal critic of both the DFL legislative agenda and Governor Walz's administration.
