Clearbrook-Gonvick School District students performance on MCA and MTAS in 2021-22 school year?

Clearbrook-Gonvick School District ranked second in the Clearwater County for test participation, with 226 students taking the Math portion of the Minnesota Comprehensive Assessment and the Minnesota Test of Academic Skills in the 2021-22 school year, according to the Minnesota Department of Education.

The number of Clearbrook-Gonvick School District students taking the tests in the 2021-22 school year rose by 11.3% over the previous year.

Clearbrook-Gonvick School District's students achieved an average Math proficiency rate of 37% in 2021-22 school year.

Third grade students stood out with 14% of them exceeding standards in Math, which was the highest recorded proficiency at the district.

On the other hand, sixth grade students had the most room for improvement, with 46% not meeting the expected standards.

Clearbrook-Gonvick School District encompasses schools within Clearwater County and has a main office in Clearbrook.

Minnesota students take the MCA annually (or the MTAS, for students with cognitive disabilities) to determine their academic readiness. Not every grade is tested each year.

Analysis from the Nation’s Report Card showed Math and Reading scores have fallen significantly in the last decade. Science scores have been steady in recent years.

Minnesota Department of Education issues could lead to data irregularities.
