How did Bagley Public School District students do on 2021-22 MCA and MTAS Math tests?

Bagley Public School District ranked first in the Clearwater County for test participation, with 474 students taking the Math portion of the Minnesota Comprehensive Assessment and the Minnesota Test of Academic Skills in the 2021-22 school year, according to the Minnesota Department of Education.

The number of Bagley Public School District students taking the tests in the 2021-22 school year rose by 28.1% over the previous year.

Bagley Public School District's students achieved an average Math proficiency rate of 24% in 2021-22 school year.

Fourth grade students stood out with 15% of them exceeding standards in Math, which was the highest recorded proficiency at the district.

On the other hand, eighth grade students had the most room for improvement, with 75% not meeting the expected standards.

Bagley Public School District encompasses schools within Clearwater County and has a main office in Bagley.

Minnesota students take the MCA annually (or the MTAS, for students with cognitive disabilities) to determine their academic readiness. Not every grade is tested each year.

Analysis from the Nation’s Report Card showed Math and Reading scores have fallen significantly in the last decade. Science scores have been steady in recent years.

Minnesota Department of Education issues could lead to data irregularities.
