How many Sebeka Public School District students took their MCA and MTAS Math tests in 2021-22 school year?

Sebeka Public School District ranked second in the Wadena County for test participation, with 253 students taking the Math portion of the Minnesota Comprehensive Assessment and the Minnesota Test of Academic Skills in the 2021-22 school year, according to the Minnesota Department of Education.

The number of Sebeka Public School District students taking the tests in the 2021-22 school year rose by 5.9% over the previous year.

Sebeka Public School District's students achieved an average Math proficiency rate of 39% in 2021-22 school year.

Third grade students stood out with 53% of them exceeding standards in Math, which was the highest recorded proficiency at the district.

On the other hand, 11th-grade students had the most room for improvement, with 45% not meeting the expected standards.

Sebeka Public School District encompasses schools within Wadena County and has a main office in Sebeka.

Minnesota students take the MCA annually (or the MTAS, for students with cognitive disabilities) to determine their academic readiness. Not every grade is tested each year.

Analysis from the Nation’s Report Card showed Math and Reading scores have fallen significantly in the last decade. Science scores have been steady in recent years.

Minnesota Department of Education issues could lead to data irregularities.
