Beltrami County: How many students met or exceeded expectations in Math in 2021-2022

Test 06

34.4 percent of Beltrami County students passed the Math portion of the Minnesota Comprehensive Assessment (MCA) test in the 2021-2022 school year, according to the Minnesota Department of Education.

Of the 3,762 students who took part in the MCA, 23.4 percent met the testing standard while 11 percent exceeded expectations and scored highest on the test.

The total percentage of Beltrami County students who met or exceeded expectations grew by 0.9 percent from the previous school year.

The MCA is given annually to Minnesota students to determine the academic readiness of students. Not every grade is tested each year.

Analysis from the Nation’s Report Card showed math and reading scores have fallen significantly in the last decade. Science scores have been steady in recent years.
