Of the 555 people living in Verndale in 2019, 49.5 percent (275) were women and 50.5 percent (280) were men, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained by the NC Minnesota News.

Males 18 and over outnumbered females in the same age group by a ratio of 153-to-143. In the 65 and over age range, there were 58 females and 32 males.
