City of Big Lake issued the following announcement on Nov. 27.
Notice is hereby given that the City of Big Lake is presently seeking applicants to fill one (1) seat on the Big Lake Economic Development Authority (BLEDA). The term for this seat will run from January 1, 2021 through December 31, 2026.
The BLEDA meets the second Monday of each month at 6:00 p.m. and is an advisory group to the City Council on all economic development issues such as industrial/commercial development and marketing, redevelopment and housing needs pertaining to blighted properties, life-cycle housing, and full-service community issues. The BLEDA takes action on these issues and forwards that information to the City Council for final approval.
Any City residents or business owners interested in serving on the Big Lake Economic Development Authority (BLEDA) and who have a business background or experience are encouraged to apply.
Applicants may apply for the position by a submitting a letter which includes a description of the applicant’s employment and educational background that may be relevant to the position as well as their reasons for applying and their aspirations for the future of Big Lake.
