City of Caledonia issued the following announcement on Sept. 14.
1) Maintenance Mechanic/Custodian - Full-time:
St. Mary's is looking to hire a full-time maintenance mechanic/custodian. This person will be responsible for all aspects of maintenance at the School and Church of St. Mary's including maintenance of all building systems and structures, general cleaning, and snow removal. Boiler certification is required. If not currently certified, must be willing to take the boiler certification class and become certified within the first year of employment. Previous maintenance experience and basic knowledge/ experience in electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and painting are highly desirable.
2) Custodian - Part-time:
St. Mary's is also accepting applications for a part-time custodian. The position requires candidates to work an average of 3 to 3.5 hours a day, Monday thru Friday. Typical duties include emptying wastebaskets/recyclables; mopping of classrooms, hallways and bathrooms; sanitizing various high touch surfaces; snow shoveling, snow plowing, and general grounds upkeep; and miscellaneous projects or duties. Qualified candidate should be a self-starter with good work ethic and have the ability to stand for long periods of time.
