Cost of college went up for all students at Bemidji State University

Tuition and fees rose 0.2 percent for 2018-19 at Bemidji State University, according to recent data from the U.S. Department of Education.

Minnesota students paid $8,696 to attend the four-year public institution this year – $19 more than the $8,677 charged for 2017-18.

Data shows 94 percent of full-time undergraduates who started school in 2015-16 received student financial aid in some form. In all, 578 students received grants or scholarships totaling $3 million and 510 students took out student loans totaling more than $4 million.

Including all undergraduates (5,111), 2,789 students used grants or scholarships totaling $15.9 million, and 2,678 students took out $17.4 million in federal student loans.
