As Hubbard County responds to the COVID-19 crisis, various boards across the community are adjusting to the new reality.
The Hubbard County Board will continue to meet as regularly scheduled, but meetings will be attended electronically or by phone. The board held its first socially-distanced meeting on April 7, and has stated all future meetings will be conducted that way until further notice.
Residents can go to the county’s website at www.co.hubbard.mn.us for more information about participating electronically or by phone.
The Park Rapids City Council has chosen to continue to hold its scheduled meetings at city hall on April 14 and April 28 at 6 p.m. There is no information yet on their website regarding plans for how the meetings will be held, but the most recent meeting on March 24 was held by telephone. More information can be found at ci.park-rapids.mn.us/index.php.
The city councils in Nevis and Akeley have chosen to move their meetings to an online format, and information for accessing the meetings electronically or by phone can be found at their websites: www.akeleycity.com and nevis.govoffice.com.
The Menahga School Board plans to hold its April 20 meeting at the media center at 6:30 p.m.
The Nevis School Board has made plans to conduct business remotely for its April 27 meeting. Information will be made available at www.nevis.k12.mn.us.
