City of Park Rapids issued the following announcement on Oct. 24.
The City of Park Rapids has an opening for a Part-time Liquor Store Clerk at Rapids Spirits. Duties include cash register operations, stocking shelves, customer service, and light cleaning. You must have a High School diploma, GED, or equivalent, be 21 years of age, and the ability to lift 50 pounds.
Your work schedule would vary as we are open Monday through Saturday, 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.
Starting salary is $11.57 per hour with an increase to $12.23 per hour upon satisfactory completion of a 6 month probationary period. Within one year, you could be making $13.05, based on the 2019 Pay Scale. This position offers PTO (paid time off) and PERA benefits. For every hour you work, the City is required to contribute 7.5% to your retirement plan. That calculates to $0.87 per hour just in retirement at the starting wage.
