Rep. Krista Knudsen (R-Lake Shore) has expressed her condolences following a fatal house fire in Osage earlier this week. The incident resulted in one death and left another person injured.

In a statement, Rep. Knudsen said, “I was deeply saddened to learn about the tragic house fire in Osage that claimed a life and left another person injured. My thoughts are with the family, friends, and neighbor who are now dealing with unimaginable loss and the aftermath of such a devastating event.

Fires like this affect far more than a single household. They ripple through a community, especially in smaller towns where people know one another and feel these losses personally. The circumstances described in the early hours of the morning are difficult to hear about, and it is heartbreaking to know that a life was lost.

I also want to recognize the people who responded when help was needed. First responders, deputies, firefighters, and those who stopped to assist did everything they could in a very difficult situation. Their work matters, especially on days like this.”

Local authorities responded to the emergency during the early morning hours. The community is now coping with the impact of the tragedy as officials continue their investigation into the cause of the fire.
