Michael Herbert, adjunct professor of criminal justice and statistics at Bemidji State University, published his first manuscript through the University of North Dakota’s College of Education and Human Development Research PhD program in November.

Herbert’s article, Faculty Motivation for Open Educational Resources (OER) Textbook Adoption and Future Use, was included in academic journal Innovative Higher Education. Coauthored by UND professors Drs. Virginia Clinton-Lisell and Rob Stupnisky, Herbert examined the impact of motivation for the future use of open resource education in a learning environment. The article is based on survey results collected with UND College of Education and Human Development Research faculty.
