The Department of Languages and Indigenous Studies in collaboration with the Center for Diversity, Equity and Inclusion present a series of free events to commemorate Hispanic/Latino Heritage at BSU this September. This year’s theme is War, Revolution, and Peace. Our goal is to better understand current conflicts by looking at the conflictive relationship between the US and Cuba. We aim to spark self-reflection and constructive conversation around questions of geopolitics and its consequences on people’s everyday life.

Watch the movie in advance and meet to discuss cinema as a tool to denounce political oppression and imperialism from the point of view of the oppressed.
